THE MADAGASCAR HISSING COCKROACH
Hissing Cockroaches live on the rainforest floors of Madagascar. They eat nature's garbage, such as rotting fruit or fallen fur, digesting it and turning it into new, rich soil. They are super-decomposers, making them nature's recyclers. The males have horns, which they use to fight each other when seeking a mate. They also emit a loud "hissing" sound to scare away their enemies, giving their name.
Cockroaches get a bad reputation, but 99% of Roach species are not considered pests, and would not cohabitate with humans.
